1. Who this agreement is between
These Terms are a legally binding agreement between PrepitUp, operated by Vinayak Gupta ("PrepitUp", "we", "us") and you, the person using the account ("you").
Nobody else is a party to it. Your account is yours: it is not administered by anyone, nobody else is given access to it, and nothing you do in it is reported to anyone.
By creating an account or using PrepitUp you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. What PrepitUp does for you
The service works in one loop, and it is the whole of what we offer you:
- You pick the chapters you have studied and how long you want the paper to be.
- We write a practice paper on those chapters.
- You solve it on paper, by hand, showing your working.
- You photograph or scan your pages and upload them.
- We read your handwriting, mark it against our own marking scheme, and write you feedback and further practice questions.
3. The marking is done by AI, and it is only practice
Read this part carefully.
- No human checks it. Every mark, comment, report and practice question you see is produced by an AI model and shown to you without any person reviewing it first.
- It can be wrong. AI can misread handwriting, miss a step you wrote, or award the wrong mark. Treat what you see as a second opinion on your own work, not as a verdict on it.
- It is not an official result. Nothing here is an assessment, a qualification, a certificate or an official result of any kind. It has no academic standing, it is not recognised by anyone, and it must not be presented as a result or relied on to predict how you will do in a real examination.
4. Your age, and your parent or guardian
When you create the account you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to your using PrepitUp. If you are a child under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, that consent is what allows us to handle your data at all, and we explain it further in the Privacy Policy.
Your parent or guardian may withdraw that agreement at any time by writing to us at the address in Section 10. When they do, we close the account and delete what is in it.
5. What we ask of you
A. Upload only your own work
The pages you send us must be your own handwriting, written by you, for the paper you were given. Do not upload anyone else's answers, and do not upload examination papers or any other material you do not have the right to share.
B. Look after your sign-in
You sign in with Google or with a link we email you. Keep that email account secure, and do not let anyone else sign in as you. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
C. Send pages we can read
Scan each page flat, in good light, with the whole page in the frame and in the right order. A page we cannot read is a page we cannot mark fairly.
6. Things you must not do
- Try to reach another person's account, tests or answer pages.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or try to extract the source code, model prompts or marking logic behind the platform.
- Upload malicious files, or attack, overload or probe our servers and APIs.
- Get round sign-in, rate limits or any other control in the platform.
- Use PrepitUp for anything unlawful under Indian law, or to produce work you then pass off as unaided.
7. Who owns what
Your work stays yours. The answers you write and the pages you upload belong to you. We claim no ownership of them.
What you let us do with them. You give us permission to store, process and mark your pages, and to generate feedback and practice questions from them, solely so that we can give you the service. Nothing more.
Your work is not training data. Your handwriting, your answers and the marks made on them are not used to train general-purpose public AI models.
Our side. The platform itself — the software, the interface, the question generation and marking logic, the prompts and the branding — belongs to PrepitUp. The papers we write for you are yours to solve, print and keep; they are not yours to resell or republish as your own.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using PrepitUp whenever you like. Write to us at the address in Section 10 and, once we have confirmed the request is really from you or from the parent or guardian who agreed, we will close the account and permanently delete what is in it — your tests, your uploaded pages, and the marks and feedback made from them — within 90 days. Nobody else's permission is needed for this.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks Section 6, or that we are required by law to close.
9. What we do and do not promise
As-is: PrepitUp is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We work hard on the transcription and the marking, but we do not promise that either will be free of mistakes, or that the service will never be interrupted.
Decisions you make: We are not liable for choices you make on the strength of what the platform tells you — what to revise, what to skip, or what you expect to score. Section 3 is the reason.
Limit: To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you under these Terms will not exceed the total amount you have actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Where the service is free to you, that amount is nil. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
10. Law, disputes and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India, and the courts in India having competent jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. We will try in good faith to settle anything with you directly first.
We may change these Terms. When a change is material we will say so in the app and move the version number at the top of this page.
